Lab Week 3

Today we have learned about Delicious.com and googledocs. Delicious reminds me sort od like Digg.com. It has posts that are rated by other readers. I really like googledocs especially because you can send it to people sort of like an email. We have used it in a few of my previous classes and I have to say, I'm a big fan.

Lab Week One

So this is very late seeing as I was supposed to complete this 1/13. But because I forgot my gmail password I didn't get a chance to blog for week 1. So finally after remembering my password (I have gmail on my phone and never have to log in any other way, so i always forget) I will do the assignment for week 1.

Small firms can benefit greatly by blogging, using Facebook and Twitter because it is a way to get their name out into the world very quickly. Social networking has taken over our society and the majority of my generation's population check their sites more than their emails. With that being said small firms can either create their own site or even advertise on these sites to help promote themselves. Personally I believe that it would be better to, say, make a Facebook page rather than advertising on it. Whenever I get on Facebook, there are a ton of ads on the right side of my screen that I don't pay attention to at all. So I believe that if a firm makes it's own page it will be recognized more because of the fact that: 1.) people don't ignore it/ think of it as a scam & 2.) so people who are interested in a firm can go right to the page.
